Carver Winter Trailhead
Hit the cross-country ski trails, single track or archery range from the Carver Winter Trailhead. Bring your own skis or rent them online and pick them up from the Carver trailhead building. Drop in when you first arrive for information. For hiking, snowshoeing and sledding, head to Lowry Nature Center.

Things To Do
Archery
The stationary archery range is open year-round. The walk-through range is closed in the winter. Learn more about the Carver Archery Range.
Cross-country Skiing
11.3 miles of trails
Trails groomed for classic and skate skiing wind through the western portion of the park, passing scenic overlooks along the way. One trail leads to Lowry Nature Center. Don't forget to check the trail conditions before you head out.
Mountain Biking
10.3 miles
The Monarch Singletrack Trail at Carver Park Reserve is open year-round and offers trails for adapted, beginner, intermediate and advanced riders.

The building is only open weather-permitting, when the ski trails are open. Please check trail conditions.

- Monday–Friday: 12–5 PM
Holiday Hours
- December 24 (Christmas Eve): 9 AM–2 PM
- December 25 (Christmas Day): Closed
- December 26–January 5: 9 AM–5 PM
Cross-country Ski Passes
Skiers age 12 and older must have a daily or annual Three Rivers cross-country ski pass. Purchase your pass at the Carver Trailhead building, or buy an annual pass online.

Ski Rentals
Advance equipment reservation is required. Cross-country ski sets can be reserved up to seven days in advance as trail conditions allow; same-day reservations are available. Reservations can be made online or over the phone by calling 763-559-6700.

Other Trails
Other trails cannot be accessed from the winter trailhead. Hiking and snowshoeing trails begin at Lowry Nature Center. The sledding hill is just steps from Lowry. Hiking and dog walking is permitted on the winter walking trail near the dog off-leash area.
Summer
In the summer, the Carver Winter Trailhead is the Carver Archery Range.
