Passes & Permits

There is no fee for the general use of Three Rivers parks and trails. Certain activities in the park require either a pass, permit or parking fee. Take a moment to learn about them and be aware. Passes can even be purchased online, so that you can enjoy every minute of your time in the parks.

A pass is required for archers. Youth age 15 and younger are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Boat Launch

A pass is required to park boat trailers at the boat launches from April 1 through November 30. The pass receipt must be printed and displayed on the driver's side of your vehicle dashboard. If you purchase online and are unable to print the receipt, please take an envelope from the pay box near the launch and write your receipt number on the tear-off slip. Place the tear-off slip on your dashboard.

Photography Passes

Commercial and professional photography is welcomed at Three Rivers' Parks. Annual photography passes can be purchased online, and hourly passes can be purchased at on-site locations.

Cross-Country Skiing

Special Use Permits

A Special Use Permit is required for all groups conducting organized events when using a park or trail facility. Use, facility and extraordinary service fees may apply. Call 763-559-6700 to arrange for a Special Use Permit.

Recreation Pass Plus

Three Rivers believes everyone belongs in the parks. The Recreation Pass Plus is a one-year pass that includes free equipment rentals and recreation passes, and discounts on programs and events. It is available for families and individuals who live in Hennepin County and are experiencing financial difficulty. 

Bus & Commercial Vehicle Parking Fees

Coming by bus or passenger van? Reservations are required, parking and drop-off fees may be required. Check with your site or call Reservations at 763-559-6700 for more information.
