Highway 5/County Road 11 detour

This spring and summer, a construction project is taking place to build a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 5 and County Road 11 in Victoria, south of Carver Park Reserve. Beginning April 6, Highway 5 will be closed west of its intersection with County Road 11 and motorists will be unable to access County Road 11 from the highway. The closure is expected to be in place through July.

People planning to visit Carver Park Reserve should follow posted detours and plan to access park features from Highway 7 to the north of the park. Motorists traveling east on Highway 5 should take Laketown Parkway (Highway 92) north, then travel east on Highway 7 and turn right (south) onto County Road 11. People traveling west on Highway 5 should take the detour north on Rolling Acres Road (Highway 13), then head west on Highway 7 and go left (south) onto County Road 11. View a map of the detour routes.

All park features will be open normal hours and can be accessed from County Road 11.

The project is a partnership among the City of Victoria, Carver County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation and is part of the city’s Downtown West Improvement Project. Learn more about the project.
