Construction projects
Construction projects at Three Rivers are coordinated by the Department of Design. Based on the master plan created by the Department of Planning, the Design team takes a project from construction to completion, working with many in the development process. Department staff collaborate with the public, contractors, landscape architects, architects, engineers, Metropolitan Council, Hennepin County, cities, and other public and private agencies to ensure a successful project completion.
The goal of the Department of Design is to provide the highest quality services while supporting the Park District mission of promoting environmental stewardship in a natural resources-based park system.
Funding for some projects is provided by Minnesota's Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
Funding for some projects is provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund and the Legislative-Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources.
