From kayaks to paddleboards, try one out and see your favorite parks from a new angle.
We have launched a new reservation and registration system to enhance your online experience with a more visual and user-friendly process.

2026 Rental Season
Watercraft rentals are typically available from Memorial Day–Labor Day.
Some locations may offer watercraft rentals before Memorial Day or past Labor Day, weather permitting.

How to Make a Reservation
You can make watercraft reservations online by location up to a week in advance throughout the season.
Reserving online is encouraged to ensure availability. Rentals are also available in-person on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rental Equipment Policies
- Rental Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours prior to rental time to receive 100% of the rental fee.
No refunds will be provided less than 12 hours prior to rental time.
- Late Return Fee
A $25 late fee is charged for all equipment that is returned late.

Paddle Share Rentals
Rentals are available daily from May–September at paddle share stations located at the following locations:
- Bush Lake
Bush Lake offers an iPaddlePort self-serve paddle equipment rental station, partially funded through a Hennepin County Youth Sports Grant, containing one- and two-person kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and the appropriate paddles and life jackets.
Reserve paddling equipment through iPaddlePort’s website or via their phone app.
- Mississippi Gateway Regional Park
Rent a kayak to use on the Mississippi River! The Mississippi River Paddle Share Program has partnered with Three Rivers to offer kayak rentals to experienced paddlers.
Put-in stations are located in the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area at Mississippi Gateway Regional Park and River Park (in partnership with Brooklyn Park).
- Silverwood Park
Rent a single kayak or canoe from the equipment-sharing station in Silverwood Park in St. Anthony.
- Twin Lakes Boat Access
Rent a tandem kayak, single kayak or stand-up paddleboard from an equipment-sharing station at Twin Lakes Boat Access in Robbinsdale.
Note: A $100 late fee is charged for abandoning equipment or failure to return equipment.
Watercraft Rules
- A person 16 years or older is required in each watercraft.
- Lifejackets must be worn at all times.
- Remain on watercraft; no jumping or diving allowed.
- A person ages 8 to 15 may rent a single kayak or stand-up paddleboard if accompanied by a parent or guardian age 16 or older in an adjacent boat (maximum four single kayaks or stand-up paddleboards per adult).
- Pets are not allowed on rental watercraft.
Small watercraft racks designed to hold canoes, sailboards and kayaks are available to rent, as are a limited number of sailboat slips.
