More About Silverwood OnStage
All Silverwood OnStage events are free of charge and open to the public. All ages are welcome. To fully enjoy the performances, audience-goers may wish to bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic meal, and friends or family.
Unless otherwise noted, performances occur outdoors in the amphitheater from 6:30–8PM. In the event of inclement weather, performances may be moved inside the Visitor Center Great Hall when feasible.

Other Special Events and Performances
Interact Center’s Cabaret
Friday, June 20 | 6:30–8 PM
Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts invites audiences to a dynamic performance from its full cast of 30 artists, featuring singing, dancing, poetry, comedy and more. Through bold storytelling and authentic expression, this cabaret challenges perceptions of disability by placing lived experiences directly in the spotlight.
Bring a picnic blanket, lawn chair, and others to enjoy it with!

Float-in Movie Theater on Silver Lake
Saturday, July 19 | 9–11 PM
Pack up your boat with snacks and watch a movie on the water! Float or paddle up for a movie projected on a large inflatable screen located on the shore of Silver Lake. Limited space on the shore is also available with views from in front or behind the rear-projected screen for those who wish to bring a chair.
One night only. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be rescheduled for Friday, July 25.
This year's Float-in Movie will be the 1996 semi-animated classic "Space Jam" (PG).

Happy Trails: Country Dancing and Leather Tooling
Saturday, July 26 | 5–8 PM
Join Howdy Partner Dance in the Great Hall starting at 5 PM for a friendly group lesson to learn some basic boot scootin’ steps, then stick around for open dancing to modern Americana recordings by local Minnesota artists until 8 PM.
You can also try your hand at the traditional process of leather tooling with Silverwood Art Educators.

Mixed Precipitation’s Pickup Truck Opera
Wednesday, August 27 | 6:30–8 PM
Mixed Precipitation celebrates 17 years of outdoor summer fun. This year they’re revisiting one of their favorite productions, The Return of King Idomeneo. First created in 2012, this adaptation of Mozart’s 1781 opera "Idomeneo, re di Creta" ("Idomeneo, King of Crete"), was a breakout production for Mixed Precipitation and exemplified their playful and passionate outdoor performance style.

Field Trip: 16th Annual Art and Nature Festival
Saturday, September 13 | 12–4 PM
Featuring a local artist market, outdoor artmaking, live music, food trucks and more!
Live music by Paper Chain from 12–1:30 PM and Splash! from 2:30–4 PM.

Gallery Receptions
Mingle with artists during receptions of their latest exhibitions. The receptions are free for all ages. Check out Silverwood's current and upcoming exhibitions.
