Luce Line Regional Trail Project

Between Highway 55 and West Medicine Lake Boulevard

Beginning Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, the Luce Line Regional Trail will be closed between State Highway 55 and West Medicine Lake Boulevard. The Park District will be re-aligning the trail and removing trees in this area to improve safety; significant impacts are expected. A detour route will be in place during construction, which is expected to last until Oct. 6, 2018.

Oct. 3, 2018 Update

Due to wet weather, the completion date is now Oct. 19. A City of Plymouth project will be affecting the same portion of the Luce Line Regional Trail until later this year. The weather has also affected their completion. We will update this page with their anticipated completion date.

Oct. 30, 2018 Update

The Luce Line Regional Trail Project is now expected to be complete in mid-November. The City of Plymouth project is behind schedule with a completion date of mid-December. 

Nov. 13, 2018 Update

The Luce Line Regional Trail will be closed between State Highway 55 and West Medicine Lake Road. The Park District is in the final stages of completing trail improvements in this area. The City of Plymouth is completing stormwater improvements near Highway 55 that will have significant impacts to the trail. The closure is expected to last through late December. 

Jan. 29, 2019 Update

The Luce Line Regional Trail Is currently open between State Highway 55 and West Medicine Lake Road, but surface conditions vary, so users are urged to use caution. The City of Plymouth will pave the trail in the spring of 2019 near Highway 55 that was affected by their storm water improvement project.
