Group Camping Training & Gear Library
The Group Camping Gear Library makes introductory camping experiences more accessible by equipping educators, youth workers and community leaders to lead their own overnight trips.
Three Rivers provide site-based overnight training on all the information needed to run a group camping experience. Once leaders are trained, they can reserve a trailer of camping gear for groups of up to 50 people, included with the cost of a group campsite.
The training and gear is intended to remove barriers to camping for those who are new to the experience, especially low-income students and families, communities of color and new immigrant populations. Our goal is to remove the need for a recreation professional to guide your experience; instead, trusted adults within a community facilitate their own group experience and maintain that connection over time.
