Baker Outdoor Learning Center Shower and Infirmary Building
A new Shower and Infirmary building is being constructed at the Baker Outdoor Learning Center in 2021. The Shower and Infirmary building will provide a much-needed amenity to improve overall services offered at the Outdoor Learning Center. The building will house an infirmary to deliver health services (medication) and to allow isolation of a student/camper if they become ill. The building will provide four restrooms for general guest use and eight showers for overnight guests. The project includes associated utilities, grading, and trail modifications. The building is designed to be consistent in appearance with the cabins, lodge, and office building. View a map of the project location.
The building and site will be complete and in use by the beginning of 2022. Final landscaping and planting work will be completed as weather allows in the spring of 2022. The Outdoor Learning Center will be open for normal reservation programming and day camps, but overnight cabin capacity will be temporarily reduced during construction.
