More About Silverwood OnStage

All Silverwood OnStage events are free of charge and open to the public. All ages are welcome. To fully enjoy the performances, audience-goers may wish to bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic meal, and friends or family.

Unless otherwise noted, performances occur outdoors in the amphitheater from 6:30-8PM. In the event of inclement weather, performances may be moved inside the Visitor Center Great Hall when feasible. For the most up-to-date information, you may call 763-694-7707 or monitor Silverwood Park’s social media channels.

Speak Something Alive: Spoken Word Poetry at Silverwood

Wednesday, June 4 | 6:30–8 PM

Experience an evening of spoken word poetry in the park featuring Twin Cities writers and performers Kyle "Guante" Tran Myhre, Sagirah Shahid, Kevin Yang, Ollie Schminkey and Ty Chapman. Gather and listen in the outdoor amphitheater.

E-Cology: Night Bug Extravaganza

Friday, June 28 | 5–11 PM (21+ starting at 8 PM)

Join us for a captivating evening under the stars as we explore the enchanting realm of nighttime bugs featuring fireflies and moths. This multifaceted event seamlessly weaves together elements of gaming, natural history and artistic expression, offering an unforgettable experience for all ages. 

Catch a special outdoor performance by musical guest The Orange Goodness (indie/alt rock) from 6:30 to 8 PM.

The Summer Sound Garden at Silverwood Park

Saturday, June 29 | 12–4:30 PM

The Summer Sound Garden returns to Silverwood Park! Composer/director JG Everest's creates an outdoor, self-guided sound and performance installation with roving musicians, dancers and poets spread out across the island in Silver Lake.

Float-In Movie Theater: James and the Giant Peach (1996, Rated PG)

Saturday, July 20 | 9 PM

For one night only, enjoy a film screening on the waters of Silver Lake from your paddle craft or floatie.

Mixed Precipitation’s Pickup Truck Opera: Faust

Wednesday, August 28 | 6:30–8 PM

Mixed Precipitation celebrates 16 years of outdoor summer fun with a new production adapted from composer Charles Gounod’s 1859 opera Faust, with a libretto by Jules Barbier and Michael Carré.

Field Trip

Saturday, September 14 | 12–4 PM

A festival celebrating 15 years of art and nature at Silverwood Park. Featuring a local artist market, outdoor artmaking, live music and more! 

Live outdoor music by Barlow (alt R&B) from 12 to 1:30 PM and Faith Boblett (pop/country) from 2:30 to 4 PM.
