North Mississippi Regional Park Fishing Pier Retaining Wall Replacement
In 2016, a retaining wall adjacent to the fishing pier at the north end of North Mississippi Regional Park failed, causing the trail leading to the fishing pier to start collapsing. The fishing pier has been closed since the failure occurred. Three Rivers Park District has hired a contractor to repair the retaining wall and restore access to the fishing pier. The work is expected to begin shortly after Labor Day 2017 and be complete by the end of November 2017. The fishing pier will remain closed until the repairs are fully complete.
