Hyland Hills offers discounted day rates for homeschool students and their families to ski or snowboard on select days during the season. A homeschool student must be present to receive the discount.

Tickets and Rentals
Purchasing a Ticket
All tickets and rentals must be purchased in advance online. Ticket registration closes at midnight the night before the event. Discounted tickets are not available at the ticket window.
When purchasing your ticket online, you will have the option to select your day and entry time, as well as purchase equipment rentals. Discounted equipment rentals are limited.
Homeschool day rates are available for the whole family. A homeschool student must be in attendance.
Rates
- $25/person includes a full-day lift ticket
- $32/person includes a full-day lift ticket, and a ski or snowboard package rental and helmet rental
There is a $10 fee to swap your rental form after the original has been used.
Picking Up Tickets
Ticket windows open at 8:30 AM. Lifts start running at 9:30 AM. Tickets must be picked up by 2 PM.
Homeschool Student Punch Pass
Rates
The Homeschool Student Punch Pass is available for students ages 6–17 for $110 plus sales tax.
Valid Dates
This pass is valid for four all-day tickets, redeemable any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday throughout the 2025–26 season, excluding blackout dates*.
*Blackout dates include national holidays, holiday break (December 22, 2025–January 2, 2026) and other days at the discretion of management.
Purchasing a Pass
Passes may be purchased at the chalet or online. Students must pick up their pass in person.
The Homeschool Student Punch Pass is assigned to a specific person and is non-transferable; it is not valid on scheduled homeschool days.
Rental Equipment
Rentals are not included in the Homeschool Student Punch Pass.

Homeschool Super Session Ski Clinic
Session 1: December 2–4
Session 2: January 5–7
Start the season off right with three days of progressive learning for your skier!
Students will be separated by age and ability and taught in our small group format. All skill levels are welcome.
How to Register
Homeschool students ages 7–17 can register online for our three-day small group lesson clinics. Advance reservations are required.
Rates
$145, includes all-day lift ticket, ski and helmet rental for the student for all three days of the clinic.
Schedule
Lesson are 90 minutes and start promptly at 10 AM each day. Please arrive and check in at least 1 hour prior to lesson start time.
Policies
The Homeschool Student Ski Clinic is subject to all Downhill Ski Lesson policies. Snowboard lessons are not provided.
Lessons for Younger Students
Younger students (ages 4-6) are not able to register for the Homeschool Student Clinic, but are able to attend all homeschool days. These students are more successful at skiing when they participate in our private or semi-private lessons.

- Are reservations required?
Yes, pre-registration is required for all 2025–26 dates. Tickets and rentals are not available to be purchased at the door.
Pre-registration closes at 11:59 p.m. the day before the event.
- Who can participate in Homeschool Day?
Any student or family that homeschools. A homeschool student must be present.
- Is my 4 and under child free?
No, we offer a free ticket for children 4 and under with any full-price adult ticket purchase. This offer does not apply to discounted tickets.
- Can I snowboard on Homeschool Days?
Yes, your rate with equipment includes either a ski or snowboard rental and a helmet.
- Can I change from a snowboard to ski rental throughout the day?
Yes, however there is a $10 fee to change rental forms after you have used the original. Changing equipment is subject to rental inventory availability.
- Can I bring my own equipment to Homeschool Days?
Yes, please do! You should register for the $25 rate that only includes a lift ticket.
- Do I have to wear a helmet?
No, but one is included in your ticket when you select the rate with equipment. We encourage helmet wearing on the hill.
- Can I purchase an equipment rental package on the day of
If equipment rental is available, you may rent it at full price. Full price is $27 for ski or snowboard rental and $10 for helmet rental.
- What time can I arrive?
The ticket window opens at 8:30 a.m. and lifts start running at 9:30 a.m.
Your tickets will have an arrival time on them. Please arrive close to that time to expedite the ticketing and rental process.
- What is the latest I can pick up my ticket?
2 p.m. is the latest you can pick up a ticket for Homeschool Days.
- How long is my ticket good for?
Tickets are valid all day until we close at 9 p.m.
- What can we do about food?
Hyland Grill in the chalet has a wide variety of food options. Prices vary from about $2–12 per item.
We do not allow drop off delivery food (Bite Squad, Grubhub, etc.).
We do not allow crock pots, Instant Pots or other devices with a heating element to be plugged into our outlets. If our staff sees these items, they will be unplugged and you will be asked to remove them from the chalet.
- What parking options are available at Hyland Hills?
There is a paid lot at the chalet for personal vehicles. Parking is $3 per hour with $12 maximum per entry.
Free parking is available at the Normandale Lake parking lot. Shuttle service is available free of charge during all business hours.
