Fish Lake Visitor Pavilion Restroom and Rental Room Remodel

Beginning in fall 2018 through spring 2019, the pavilion at Fish Lake Regional Park will be closed to the public to undergo a significant remodel project. Construction may still be underway during February’s Polar Plunge and Kidarod. Alternate temporary facilities will be considered if the building’s regular facilities are not available for normal use.

The goal of the project is to renovate the aging restrooms for accessibility and to make various functional improvements to the equipment rental space, storage room, and building security and access systems. The large, open, reservation room in the pavilion will remain unaffected by this project.

The project will completely replace the restroom facilities and will include a new layout, creating restrooms specifically for separate interior and exterior use. The interior restrooms will now be available only to those using the reservation pavilion, and the exterior restrooms will be available to all other general park users. Additionally, the exterior restrooms will be available for after-hours use and will include a changing room for trail and beach users. The new restrooms are designed to be fully accessible.
