Groups at Eastman Nature Center

Looking for a special experience for your group? The professional naturalists at Eastman Nature Center offer outdoor education programs for schools, scout troops, senior centers, homeschools and other organized groups. Aquatic studies, insect programs, birding, live amphibians and reptiles, animal tracks, snowshoeing and maple syruping are some popular options. Programs can be customized to meet the needs and interests of your group. Programs are generally two hours in length and fees are based on group size.

Academic Standards

Our curriculum supports certain MN K-12 Academic Standards. Review the Standards Matrix to decide which programs meet your needs.

Accessibility

Three Rivers Park District is committed to making our programs accessible. With advance notice, we can arrange for sign language interpreters and a wide variety of assisted technology (all-terrain wheel chairs, sound amplifiers, etc.). Financial assistance is available for qualifying groups.

Bringing Programs to You

Naturalists are able to bring programs into your school, library, local park, church, community center or other meeting site. Popular topics include live owl, live reptiles and amphibians, birds, skulls and furs and animal adaptations. Programs can be customized to meet the needs and interests of your group.

Fees are based on group size and length of program (per hour). Programs are available for many groups, from small classrooms to large auditorium groups. Naturalists can also host a booth at your event with hands-on activities, furs and artifacts, park information, and even a live animal that participants can visit at their leisure.
