Announcing the Canine Companion Legacy Wall

Honor Your Beloved Pet and Support Our Dog Off-Leash Areas

Are you looking for a special way to honor your furry friend who loves to run and play in our dog off-leash areas? Three Rivers Park District is excited to announce the creation of the Canine Companion Legacy Wall! 

These unique tributes will celebrate the lives of beloved loyal companions who brought, or continue to bring joy, to their families and the community. You can honor your special pet with a personalized 4" x 2" bone-shaped plaque displayed on a Legacy Wall, either in the large or small dog section of the off-leash area.

Tribute plaques are available for purchase online, click here to make your donation. Each plaque costs $100. 

Funds raised through tribute plaque purchases will be used to enhance dog off-leash facilities throughout Three Rivers.

About Legacy Wall Plaques

What is included on the plaques?

Pet names and personalized messages will be engraved on durable outdoor plaques, approximately 4 inches wide by 2 inches tall. These plaques will be mounted on the designated Legacy Wall in either the small or large dog section of the off-leash area.

How much text can I include on the plaque?

Each plaque can hold up to two lines of text. The top line allows for a maximum of 20 characters, and the bottom line fits 25 characters (including spaces and punctuation). Only text is permitted on plaques; unique fonts, special characters, images, website addresses and advocacy messages cannot be accommodated. Please note that specific placement on the wall cannot be accommodated.

How long will the plaque last on the Legacy Wall?

The Legacy Wall is designed as a long-lasting memorial within the dog off-leash area. The Park District will strive to repair or replace any damaged plaques within the first 10 years after installation. However, we cannot guarantee plaque condition beyond this period.

How many spots are available on the Legacy Walls?

Three Rivers is excited to offer this tribute opportunity, but space is limited. Once the wall is full, we won't be able to accommodate additional requests. Don't miss out on this chance to honor your pup!
