Biking Outreach and Engagement

Three Rivers has more than 240 miles of off-road bike trails that are great for riders of all skill levels.

Many people enjoy using the bike trails in our parks, but not everyone feels comfortable biking. Our research shows that compared to the rest of the region, fewer visitors who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) use the trail system in Three Rivers Park District.

To help change this, the Community Engagement team works with local partners to offer introductory biking programs. These programs aim to help people feel safer on the trails and ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy them. Our goal is to create more opportunities for all riders, whether they are learning to bike for the first time or becoming more confident and want to explore the regional trails.
