Get Golf Ready Level 1 

Ages 18+
 
This program is for adults entering the game of golf with little or no experience. Learn everything you need to play golf in just a few lessons. PGA and LPGA professionals show you lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session focuses on the various golf skills you use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you are guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting.  
 
What to bring: Just yourself and a desire to have fun. Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided.

Get Golf Ready Level 2 

Ages 18+
 
This program is designed to build upon skills learned in Get Golf Ready 1 or for the golfer with some experience who wants to improve. This course incorporates golf etiquette, simple USGA rules, drills and swing instruction into each lesson. Lessons cover irons, driving, pitching, chipping and putting. Completion prepares participants for leagues, private lessons or supervised practice.  
 
What to bring: Just yourself and a desire to have fun. Bring clubs if you have them, otherwise golf clubs, balls and other equipment are provided.

Breaking Barriers Coaching Program 

Ages 18+

Take your game to the next level. This program includes a USGA/MGA Handicap and TrackMan Yardage Session. 

  • Break 100 includes bunker shots, reading greens and speed control, keeping the ball in play, chipping/pitching, solid contact, and why/when double bogey is good. For golfers who play 18 holes regularly looking to shoot in the 90s. 
  • Break 90 includes bad lies, drivers vs. 3 woods from the tee, get it up and down more often, and when/why bogey is good. 
  • Break 80 includes which ball flight to play, advanced short game (flop shot, bump and run), and why/when bogey is good.

Short Game School 

Ages 18+

Focus on putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. Learn techniques and strategies for scoring from various positions around the green, including hitting from different lengths of grass and adjusting for uneven lies. This is a must for those looking to lower their score!

Get Golf Ready 

Ages 18+ 

Play with other new golfers while transitioning skills learned in Get Golf Ready Lessons to the golf course. You don’t even have to keep score: Just show up and have fun playing in this friendly and stress-free environment Tee times are the same each week, although you can switch with other players in advance. Includes an Executive Level Tour Card and Driving Range Punch Pass.

Senior Golf Lesson League 

Ages 62+ 

This lesson league is designed for those who want some lessons to improve their game. Short game and full-swing fundamentals are covered along with course management and swing instruction. Some experience playing golf required.

David Sherman Memorial Golf Open Tournament

Ages 18+

Participate in a shamble-format tournament with a local top golfer. Bid on quality items during a silent auction. Includes lunch, 18 holes on the beautiful Championship Course, dinner and refreshments.

All funds raised benefit First Tee Minnesota, which teaches golf skills with a strong emphasis on nine core values: sportsmanship, responsibility, judgment, integrity, honesty, confidence, respect, courtesy and perseverance. These recreational and educational opportunities are provided for all youth, with scholarships available to underrepresented populations such as girls, youth with disabilities, members of diverse cultural communities and young people from low-income households.
