5K High School Ski Rennet
Friday, January 18, 2019
Hosted by Minnetonka High School, the 5K High School Ski Rennet offers a social and unique opportunity for high school competitors to race at night on lighted trails.
Family and friends can participate in the citizen TCO Ski Rennet on Saturday, January 19.
Registration is open to the first 400 racers. All entries are due no later than Jan. 16. Race day registration is not available. Payment must accompany registration.
Teams that register 15 or more students receive a 25 percent discount ($7.50/skier).
Schedule, directions, parking, packet pick-up and course information can be found on the Ski Rennet Race Day page.
Trail and Course Access
No foot traffic is allowed on the race course. All non-racing team members on skis must have a valid trail pass.
Spectators are allowed at the start area for mass starts (near Jan's Place) and at the finish line (next to the visitor center). Access to the race course is limited to coaches and racers only; when each race starts, only racers are allowed on the course (no coaches or skiers warming up for the next race). If there is sufficient natural snow, skiers can warm up on non-course trails. Trails are not closed to the public.
Anyone training prior to race day must have a valid trail pass. Team practices must be on the regular practice schedule.
Waxing is allowed near the start/finish area. Electric outlets are not available; generators are permitted.
