Some Parks Will Close For Deer Hunts This Fall

September 14, 2020

This fall, we will conduct scheduled deer hunts in many parks intended to keep deer herds in balance with available habitat. This will necessitate the closing or partial closing of some parks where the hunts are taking place.

Archery deer hunts will take place in a number of parks throughout Three Rivers. These parks will remain open and will allow access to paved and turf trails, dog areas, horse trails, golf courses, and picnic areas during the hunt period.

A shotgun deer hunt is scheduled for November 14-15 at Elm Creek Park Reserve. During the shotgun hunt, Elm Creek will be closed to all park visitors.
