Give feedback on proposed singletrack trail at Carver

April 19, 2019

Three Rivers Park District is developing a new singletrack trail within Carver Park Reserve in 2019. The trail is being developed in partnership with the One Track Mind Foundation.

As we begin designing the new singletrack trail, we would like your input. Please take a brief survey that will help us with the preliminary planning of the trail. The survey will be open through Friday, May 10th.

The trail will be located in the western portion of the park reserve and will be up to 10 miles long. It will be an off-road, unpaved, singletrack trail, similar to the trails at Elm Creek, Lake Rebecca and Murphy-Hanrehan park reserves, and it will be open year-round.

Our primary design objectives for the project are to:

  • Provide a high-quality facility for all biking abilities.
  • Use sustainable design and construction techniques.
  • Minimize impacts to the park’s natural resources.
  • Minimize impacts to existing park activities and uses.
  • Maximize use of existing park infrastructure and amenities.
