French Regional Park Master Plan is Available for Public Comment

August 22, 2022

The Three Rivers Park District Board of Commissioners has approved the draft master plan for French Regional Park in Plymouth and authorized a 30-day public comment period for it.

Since French Regional Park is fully developed, the master plan was envisioned as a way to build upon the park’s success. It focuses on recommendations to improve the existing park infrastructure and offerings to ensure the park remains relevant to existing and new park visitors and community members.

During the plan’s development, Three Rivers staff conducted a robust community engagement process that sought to understand how the park can better support positive outdoor experiences and serve as a gateway to nature, especially for new park users and community members and groups typically under-represented among park users.

The master plan is available at Let’s Talk Three Rivers. Comments about the plan may be made through September 21, 2022, on Let’s Talk Three Rivers, submitted by e-mail to: Ann.Rexine@ThreeRiversParks.org or mailed to: Three Rivers Park District, French Regional Park, c/o Ann Rexine, Principal Planner, 3000 Xenium Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441.

Printed copies of the plan are available at the Three Rivers Park District Administrative Center, 3000 Xenium Lane N., Plymouth; French Regional Park; Fish Lake Regional Park and Eagle Lake Regional Park; and the city halls of Crystal, Golden Valley, Medicine Lake, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale and St. Louis Park.
