Schaper Park

Operated by the City of Golden Valley

On 11.3 acres, Schaper Park offers a variety of amenities including trails, softball fields, an inclusive play area and a fitness challenge course that includes obstacles to navigate over, under, around and through. The Luce Line Regional Trail also travels through Schaper Park, and parking and restrooms are available for regional trail users.

In Partnership

Schaper Park is owned and operated by the City of Golden Valley. The Luce Line Regional Trail, operated by Three Rivers Park District, travels through the park. The fitness challenge course and inclusive play area were developed in partnership with Three Rivers Park District, the City of Golden Valley, Golden Valley Rotary Club, the Golden Valley Community Foundation, MN/WI Playground and Paul’s Pals. Three Rivers' Contributions

Three Rivers partnered with the City of Golden Valley, Golden Valley Rotary Club, the Golden Valley Community Foundation, MN/WI Playground and Paul’s Pals to develop the challenge course and inclusive play area at Schaper Park. The play area and challenge course opened in 2017.

The play area provides full access for all ability and mobility levels and was the first all-inclusive play area in Golden Valley.

The challenge course offers an outdoor fitness experience designed for people of all ages to enjoy. It encourages families of every fitness level to be active together, and leverages the benefits of outdoor recreation in a fun and exciting way that encourages people to come back again and again.

Biking in Three Rivers is a great way to get the whole family outside. Whether you’re the casual rider or a cyclist in training, you’ll appreciate more than 240 miles of off-roadway bike/hike trails that wind through woodlands and grasslands and rim the shorelines of lakes and ponds at our parks.

Create new memories at our play areas. Three Rivers has multiple areas designed for varying ages and abilities where toddlers to teens can let their imagination run wild. Monkey business never sounded so fun.
