Nine miles of trails

These challenging, groomed trails located in the northeastern section of the park are for advanced level skiing and skate skiing. Skiers get a rush from the challenging trails that feature steep uphill grades and downhill run through thick woods. Trails are typically open from sunrise until sunset. Check trail conditions before you head out.

10 mile loop series

With over 10 miles of trail and loops rated from easy to advanced, Murphy-Hanrehan Singletrack Trail is a favorite spot for mountain biking in the Twin Cities. The trails are designed and maintained in partnership with volunteers from Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists. Click below to check trail conditions and learn more about mountain biking in Three Rivers.

Trailhead Building

The trailhead building is closed.

Cross-country Ski Passes

Skiers age 12 and older are required to have a daily or annual Three Rivers ski pass. 

Purchase your daily or annual pass online or by calling Guest Services at 763-559-6700.

Parking is available at the winter trailhead. See the interactive map above for more information.

Multi-use Trail

The multi-use trail is accessible from the horse trailhead off Sunset Lake Road. Here you will find hiking, dog (on leash), horseback, skijoring, dog sledding and snowshoeing trails. 

Other Trails

Additional trails for snowshoeing, hiking, dog walking (on leash) and snowmobiling can be accessed from Judicial Road in the southeast corner of the park.
