Medicine Lake Regional Trail
This trail provides connections between Elm Creek Park Reserve, Fish Lake and French Regional Parks. It also provides views of Rice Lake in Maple Grove and Medicine Lake in Plymouth. In addition, the trail provides connections with the Bassett Creek and Luce Line Regional Trails, as well as many community trails.

Trail resurfacing
Segments of the Medicine Lake Regional Trail in Maple Grove will be resurfaced beginning June 8. The work is being conducted in four phases; this map shows where and when work is taking place. Affected trail segments will be closed Monday through Friday of the week noted on the map, and all trails will reopen Friday afternoon once the resurfacing material has had sufficient time to dry. Trail users are advised to pay attention to all construction signs and avoid closed sections of trail.
Boardwalk repair in Maple Grove
The boardwalk repair project along the Medicine Lake Regional Trail in Maple Grove is complete and the affected trail segment is open.

Winter Plowing
Over 100 miles of the regional trail system are maintained in the winter, generally from mid-November through March. This is achieved through a partnership between Three Rivers and local cities.
Medicine Lake Regional Trail is plowed in Plymouth and in Maple Grove from the west side of County Road 81 to County Road 47 during winter months. See complete winter trail maintenance information.

Things To Do
Biking in Three Rivers is a great way to get the whole family outside. Whether you’re the casual rider or a cyclist in training, you’ll appreciate more than 240 miles of off-roadway bike/hike trails that wind through woodlands and grasslands and rim the shorelines of lakes and ponds at our parks.
Three Rivers offers abundant scenery for you and your dog to enjoy year round, with paved, turf, regional and skijoring/dog sledding trails that are dog-friendly. Dogs must be on a six-foot non-retractable leash unless in a designated dog off-leash area. Owners must pick-up after their dogs.
One of the best ways to explore year-round is to head out for a hike on the extensive trail system in Three Rivers. Trails wind through the woodland, grassland and wetland habitats of many species of wildlife. You’ll be amazed at what you might see along the way.
Please note: In winter, hiking on cross-country ski trails is not permitted.
