Cleary Lake Winter Trailhead

When the snow falls, Cleary Lake Golf becomes the Cleary Lake Winter Trailhead. Glide along cross-country ski trails, head out for a winter hike or take your pup for a stroll on a dog trail. Rent skis and warm up with snacks and beverages at the visitor center.

Six miles of trails

Cleary Lake Regional Park has cross-country ski trails for all skill levels. Trails wind through rolling hills and hardwood forests. The Golf Course Loop trail is shared with skijorers and snowshoers.

3.8 miles of trails

Walk your dog on miles of trails that wind through the park. Dogs are allowed on paved and turf trails with a six-foot, non-retractable leash. Owners must pick up after their dog.

Get your blood pumping with a brisk walk. A trail with rest stops and a water pump loops around Cleary Lake. The trail has connections leading to the Scott West Regional Trail for east and west connections from the park.

Skijoring is allowed on certain cross-country ski trails with an annual or daily ski pass.

Get out and explore winter. Snowshoeing is allowed on the designated cross-country ski trails when no race is scheduled. Snowshoes are available to rent online as conditions allow. See rental rates.

Cross-country Skis

Cross-country skis can be reserved up to seven days in advance as trail conditions allow. 

Reservations can be made online or over the phone by calling Guest Services at 763-559-6700

Due to limited equipment and indoor capacity, reserving equipment prior to arriving is highly encouraged.

Snowshoes can be reserved up to seven days in advance as trail conditions allow.

Rental Equipment Policies

Rental Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours prior to rental time to receive 100% of the rental fee.  

No refunds will be provided less than 12 hours prior to rental time. 

Late Return Fee

Rental equipment returned after the two-hour limit will be charged a late fee of $25. 

Ski Trail Conditions

Trails at Cleary are groomed daily. Please check the trail conditions before you visit.

Cross-country Ski Passes

Three Rivers cross-country ski passes are required for all skiers 12 and older.

Purchase a daily or annual pass online or over the phone by calling Guest Services at 763-559-6700.

Lighted Ski Trails

Cleary offers 2.8 miles of lighted cross-country ski trails. Lights are on daily from 5 AM–sunrise and sunset–10 PM.
