• Adopt-a-Garden: Sponsors may adopt a rain garden or landscape planting. A Sponsor recognition sign is provided for a two-year, twice-a-month commitment.

• Adopt-a-Trail: Thanks to several community groups, all trail segments have been adopted; however some segments may open as agreements expire. Check out the Trail Segment List for open segments. To apply for a current opening use the Application Form below.

Short-term Group Opportunities

• Global Youth Service Day: An international effort to engage today's youth in service. Projects will be held on April 20 and 21. Check back on March 1 for more information and registration.
• Canada Thistle Removal: early June or mid July (The Landing-MN River Heritage Park, Shakopee)
• Prairie Seed Collection: August - October.
• Buckthorn Removal:  October
• Park Clean-Up: Independent park clean up is a great way to promote environmental stewardship. Clean up may be performed anytime during park hours. The greatest need is Spring and Fall.

• Other Projects: Depending on the season, additional opportunties may be added for groups to help with garlic mustard pulls, gardening, prairie seed collection, mulching tree planting sites, buckthorn removal or other similar tasks.
