Rooms 

Looking for a unique setting for your next meeting? Richardson Nature Center’s rooms can be rented to host meetings, retreats, birthdays, family reunions and other events. Spaces vary in size from the fireplace room, which seats 15 people comfortably, to the combined Aspen/Bluestem rooms, which can seat as many as 100 people in an auditorium-style set-up. The popular Wildlife Viewing room seats up to 25 people at tables and boasts a full wall of windows overlooking the nature centers bird feeders.

Richardson Nature Center is a unique and beautiful place to hold your wedding or reception. Weddings are highly individual events and we encourage individuals to speak to us directly to help us meet your needs. Two types of wedding packages are typically available:

Ceremony Only - This package includes exclusive use of the Richardson Nature Center amphitheater and the Wildlife Viewing Room for four hours on the day of the wedding. Use of the amphitheater for a rehearsal on a day prior to the wedding is also included in the package. Additional time may be booked for a fee. These rentals may occur during or after normal business hours.

Ceremony Plus Reception - This package includes everything in the Ceremony Only package, plus rental of the entire building for four hours. Full building rentals are only available outside of normal business hours.

Equipment

The Nature Center has a variety of equipment available for check out or rental throughout the year.

  • Snowshoes - Available to rent for use on-site during business hours when snow conditions permit. 
  • Nordic Walking Poles - Available for use free of charge throughout the year. These poles help with stability while hiking the trails and also help users to burn up to 20% more calories while they hike!
  • Exploration Kits - Seasonally-themed kits are available free of charge for individuals and groups visiting the park. Check one out to explore the pond, discover insects, search for animal tracks and signs, and more!
  • All-Terrain Wheelchairs - The nature center has all-terrain wheelchairs that may be checked out free of charge to allow mobility-impaired individuals access to our wood-chipped trails. Other accessibility equipment is also available with advance notice.
