Winter sports enthusiasts love Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area (HSSA). Located within Hyland Lake Park Reserve, HSSA is the place for downhill skiing and snowboarding in the metro area. Our terrain park is full of progressive and innovative features and we are known for some of the best snowmaking and grooming in the Midwest. If you've never hit the slopes or want to freshen up your skills, we also offer lessons through our SnowSports Academy.
2014-15 Season Passes on Sale Now
Buy your 2014-15 season passes and save $50 on Individual and $200 on Family passes. Adult passes are available for just $299, child passes are just $199, and family passes (four family members living in the same household) are just $799. Purchase any pass in person at Hyland. Individual passes are also available online. Sale ends when the ski area closes for the season.
Ski Free! HSSA will also be offering free skiing for the rest of this season with the purchase of a 2014-15 Season Pass. Free skiing will be given as a visit pass redeemable for an all-day lift ticket once per day, until the end of the 2013-14 season.
Cross-country skiing at HSSA
Hyland is open for cross-country skiing Monday-Friday, 7-9:30 AM and Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 7-9 AM. A cross-country ski pass is required for skiers age 12+.
No disc golf at HSSA in 2014
HSSA will not be offering disc golf in the 2014 season due to the demolition and reconstruction of the chalet. Learn more about the redevelopment project
In 2013 the Three Rivers Parks Board of Commissioners approved the schematic design for a new Chalet at Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area and directed the project team to move forward with design development of the Chalet, Chalet parking, and Normandale parking expansion project.
