The huge, award-winning creative play area at Hyland has something for the young and the young-of-heart. The structure includes platforms, hexagonal climbers and slides up to 50 feet long. There is also a section designed just for children under five or those with disabilities. Climb, swing, hang, and slide to your heart's content!
The play area is located within Hyland's Recreation Park Area, which also includes a visitor center with limited concessions, restrooms, a fire place, and cross-country ski rental in winter.
The play area is closed for the season.
Hyland Play Area Expansion Project
August 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012
Last renovated in 2001, the play area at Hyland is scheduled to undergo another transformation. The expanded play area will be approximately 75% larger than the present one and will feature 3 new tower structures with 7 slides and 2 new net climbing structures.
The west side of the present play area, including the 2 lower small play structures, will continue to stay open. The water misters will be closed throughout construction. Existing play structures to be removed as part of the expansion include the 3 cargo nets leading up the middle of the play area, and the silver tubular slide.
Thank you for your patience during this project.
