The Settlement features eight cabins and expansive lodge. Each cabin has eight beds, a wood stove and a nearby cooking pad with a grill and seating area. The log lodge features a meeting and activity room that seats up to 120 people lecture-style and up to 80 for meals, a large stone fireplace, wrap-around porch, modern restrooms, and an institutional kitchen.

Reservations for the Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement can be made up to 1 year in advance. A deposit is required at the time of a reservation. Please review our Rental Policies. To inquire about openings and reservation details, call 763.694.7724.

Fees

Overnight Groups

All overnight rentals include use of Lodge, cabins and kitchen. Minimum site fee required as deposit.

Site Fee
Sunday-Thursday nights: $13/person/night; $260 minimum/night
Friday night: $18/person; $425 minimum
Saturday night: $18/person; $500 minimum

All overnight groups must pay the 7.275% Minnesota Lodging Tax, regardless of tax-exempt status.

Program Fees
$3.25/participant/program; $30 minimum/program 

All overnight groups are required to schedule at least one staff-led program.

Event Fee
$500 for weddings; $250 for all other groups 

An event fee is charged when number of day guests exceeds number of overnight guests.

Day Groups


Outdoor Education Groups

2 hours or less: $4.25/participant
2-4 hours: $8/participant
4 or more hours: $10.75/participant

$85 minimum total fee for day education groups; $60 minimum for scout groups

Leaders and other chaperones are not charged for day education groups, unless actively participating.

Lodge Rental Only
Sunday 2 PM–Friday 4 PM: $300 (4-hour minimum)
Friday 4 PM–Sunday 2 PM: $500 (4-hour minimum)
Additional hours: $75 per hour

Optional programs available for $4.25/participant/program ($30 minimum/program).

Cabin Camping

We set aside at least one Cabin Camping weekend per season during which individual families and friends may rent a cabin and join in educational programs led by one of our Naturalists.
