Event Volunteers Needed

Program Assistants are needed to help at events with kids activities, face painting, hikes, planning, prep work, greeting/registration, refreshments, set-up, clean-up, etc. Site events are smaller and organized by the site. District-wide events are larger and organized centrally. While one-time helpers are welcome at many events, membership in the volunteer program is encouraged, and is required for some positions. On-going Park District Volunteers earn benefits such as a Volunteer Fun Pass which which gives access to many park facilities at reduced rates or for free and provides greater rewards the more you volunteer. Volunteers are an integral part of the Park District. Over 800 people volunteer their time and talents each year, providing vital assistance with programs and services.
