Three Rivers Parks is calling on all metro area high school and college-aged youth to show their volunteer spirit during “Global Youth Service Day”, April 20-21. Around the world, teenagers will be improving their communities through service and service learning projects.
Three Rivers is recruiting student volunteers to help clean up the parks, ready trails for summer use, prepare butterfly gardens, clear brush, protect the watershed, and more. Scouts, church youth groups, sports teams, home schoolers, honor societies and students seeking to fulfill service requirements are all encouraged to join in. Those that pre-register will receive a free t-shirt in recognition of their contribution. Groups wishing to register should call 763.559.6700.
